In YOUR Words: Tell Bain Capital why keeping quality childcare at Bright Horizons MUST COME FIRST!

Thousands of parents, staff, and most importantly, children, have come to depend on Bright Horizons centers as a name that means quality child care. We need to know that Bain Capital is committed to quality care, good jobs and open communication.

Unfortunately, Bain’s track record with its previous buyouts speaks for itself:

o KB Toys : filed for bankruptcy in 2004 and closed almost half its stores while laying off 3,400 workers.

o Dade Behring : laid off 1,000 workers and closed factories, filed for bankruptcy in 2002.

o Ampad : started laying off workers and closing plants in 1997, filed for bankruptcy in 2000.

o DDi Corp : filed for bankruptcy in August 2003 causing its stock to crash and laying off more than 2,100 workers.
